Jonathan Creek Fire and Rescue is looking for motivated individuals that want to help their community by volunteering as a firefighter. Volunteer emergency responders make up 73% of the fire service throughout the US. The volunteer firefighter is an extremely valuable national resource. Interested in volunteering? Benefits and Requirements:

• Minimum Age 18 Years Old (We have a junior program for those 16-17 years of age)
• Live within 1 mile of the Jonathan Creek Fire District. 
• Possess a valid NC driver’s license.
• Complete a criminal background check (No felony record).
• Submit an application.
• Attend regular meetings. 
• Favorable vote of the membership after 90 day Probationary Period.
• Participation in the NC Fire and Rescue Workers Retirement​.
• Membership in the NC State Firefighter’s Association (NCSFA) & NC Association of Rescue & EMS (NCAREMS).
• Learn valuable life savings skills.
• Can obtain free training and certifications in many areas such as Firefighter, Rescue Technician, EMT and others.
