Jonathan Creek Fire and Rescue is looking for motivated individuals that want to help their community by volunteering as a firefighter. Volunteer emergency responders make up 73% of the fire service throughout the US. The volunteer firefighter is an extremely valuable national resource. Interested in volunteering? Benefits and Requirements:
- Minimum Age 18 Years Old (We have a junior program for those 16-17 years of age)
- Live within 1 mile of the Jonathan Creek Fire District.
- Possess a valid NC driver’s license.
- Complete a criminal background check (No felony record).
- Submit an application.
- Attend regular meetings.
- Favorable vote of the membership.
- Participation in the NC Fire and Rescue Workers Retirement.
- Membership in the NC State Firefighter’s Association (NCSFA).
- Learn valuable life savings skills.
- Can obtain certifications in many areas such as Firefighter, Rescue Technician, EMT and others.
