Are you ready to answer the call? Jonathan Creek Fire and Rescue is looking for volunteers.

Jonathan Creek Fire and Rescue is looking for motivated individuals that want to help their community by volunteering as a firefighter. Volunteer emergency responders make up 73% of the fire service throughout the US. The volunteer firefighter is an extremely valuable national resource. Interested in volunteering? Benefits and Requirements:

  • Minimum Age 18 Years Old (We have a junior program for those 16-17 years of age)
  • Live within 1 mile of the Jonathan Creek Fire District. 
  • Possess a valid NC driver’s license.
  • Complete a criminal background check (No felony record).
  • Submit an application.
  • Attend regular meetings. 
  • Favorable vote of the membership.
  • Participation in the NC Fire and Rescue Workers Retirement​.
  • Membership in the NC State Firefighter’s Association (NCSFA).
  • Learn valuable life savings skills.
  • Can obtain certifications in many areas such as Firefighter, Rescue Technician, EMT and others.
